There was no luck of the Irish at the Golden Globes last night – with both Michael Fassbender and Saoirse Ronan leaving empty handed.
The actors were both up for Best Actor and Best Actress but lost out to stiff competition.
Leonardo DiCaprio was awarded Best Actor for his role in The Revenant, with Brie Larson winning Best Actress for Lenny Abrahmason’s critically acclaimed film Room.
Irish actress Caitriona Balfe, who was up for Best Actress in a Drama TV series also lost out.
However Saoirse and Michael have already been nominated for BAFTAs – with Oscar buzz surrounding both stars as well as Lenny for Room.
