Majella O’Donnell has revealed that she’s not worried about her husband Daniel falling victim to the curse of Strictly Come Dancing.
Several celebs who have taken part on the BBC show have ended up dating their dancing partners despite having been in relationships beforehand – but the Tipperary native isn’t worried.
“I think Kristina [Rihanoff] will be a great teacher,” she said.

“The poor woman doesn’t have to go off with everyone she’s with, at the end of the day she was single,” Majella told Ryan Tubridy on his first show on RTE Radio One.
“She’s very happy where she is now and we’re very happy so I have no qualms about that at all.”
Daniel’s turn on the show comes as the couple were taking time off from the splotlight – but Majella doesn’t mind her husband being away for the show.

“It’s the year off and we’re supposed to be having the time off together but then of course this came up and how often do you get an opportunity like this in life?”
“So I said to him, for god’s sake, go for it.”
Meanwhile, the TV star recently became a grandmother to baby Olivia and revealed that it’s like having her own baby all over again.
“She’s a dote, absolutely beautiful. I’m totally in love with her, it’s like having my own baby all over again.”
