Lottie Ryan opens up on missing her late father Gerry Ryan

Lottie Ryan has opened up about missing her late father Gerry more than ever coming up to the Christmas period.

The 2FM radio star admitted that she thinks about her dad, who tragically passed away in 2010, a lot around Christmas time as he always cooked the family dinner.

“I think about my dad a lot at Christmas because he always cooked the Christmas dinner,” she said.

“Dad was a big foodie so getting Christmas dinner organised was pure joy for him. He would always be up early on Christmas Day putting together all the toys for us.”

“Dad was a huge holiday person who loved Christmas. I have perfect Christmas memories to look back on thanks to my lovely dad,” she told the Irish Sun.

The Clontarf native is currently working daily on 2FM with her popular showbiz slots and her Early Early Breakfast Show on the weekends, and says that she loves keeping busy.

“I will be working loads over Christmas too so all I have planned is chilling out at home.”

“As for plans in 2016, I just want to stay as busy as I am now, because I love what I’m doing,” she added.
