Joe Duffy has denied that he ever smoked weed.
Speaking during a debate on his RTE show about the legalisation of cannabis, where the presenter was asked straight out if he had smoked some himself.
“Can I ask you a personal question Joe – Did you ever smoke dope?” he was asked by a caller.

“No,” Joe replied.
“I’ve answered this before and I’ll answer it to my dying day,” he told Liveline listeners.
“I’ve never even smoked a cigarette, I don’t smoke.”
But Joe didn’t seem too pleased to be asked about his own personal use during the debate, saying he “shouldn’t be a benchmark for anybody”.
