In probably one of the most hyped comedy shows to start on RTÉ 2 since Damo and Ivor, Bridget and Eamon has got off to a fantastic start.
Nobody was too sure if the comedy series, based on the original characters from Republic of Telly sketches, would work all on its own, but the first episode has been a hit.
Viewers took to good old social media to air their views on the show, with the series starring Jennifer Zamparelli and Bernard O’Shea becoming the top trend in Ireland on Twitter.
From the brilliant 80s nostalgia to the epic performances, here’s what people thought of the first episode.

There’ll be a lot of Midlands coolers ordered in pubs this week. Wonder if it’s the new brown sauce in tea? #BridgetandEamon
