Gavin James has got the ultimate early Christmas present – his album has gone gold in Ireland.
The singer’s debut album Bitter Pill has been a massive hit, and landed the number 2 spot in the charts, just behind Adele’s album 25.
Taking to Facebook to announce the happy news, Gavin wrote:
“Best.christmas.ever ! My debut album “bitter pill” has just gone GOLD in Ireland !!!
“So many of you have bought this thing! Thanks for the support over the years and a merry Christmas !!!!! Gav X.”
Gavin shared the news just a few hours after performing at the 2FM Xmas Ball with Hozier and The Coronas.
