TV3’s brand new soap Red Rock will begin with an intense first episode next week.
The highly-anticipated drama based around a Dublin Garda station will see a body discovered in the debut episode.
Garda Sharon Cleere, played by Game of Thrones star Jane McGrath, discovers a body on the pier while out with her partner.
The man is a local and a victim of assault, and is quickly rushed to hospital.

It emerges that the body belongs to Darren Kiely, from the well-known Kiely family, who’s mother is played by Love/Hate’s Denise McCormack.
As he lies in a critical condition, the Gardaà get to work on investigating who is responsible and what their motives were.
The series begins next Wednesday 7th of January at 8.30pm on Tv3.
On Thursday at the same time episode two will see Darren Kiely’s mum arrive on the scene, having returned from England to be by her son’s bedside.

It’s clear she’s not welcome by her estranged husband Vincent or daughter Katie but son Keith loves his mother and together they’re a force to be reckoned with.
Meanwhile David Hennessy and Katie Kiely are having an affair and can’t keep their hands off each other – despite coming from either side of the feuding families.
Their relationship is put to the test as Darren fights for his life.

TV3 has commissioned the continuing drama for two years, committing to over 160 episodes and representing an investment of close to €7million per annum.
Red Rock will air every Wednesday and Thursday at 8.30pm on TV3
