Miriam O’Callaghan has revealed she has no interest in taking over The Late Late Show from Ryan Tubridy.
The RTE star has long been the bookies favourite to take over the reigns of Ireland’s chat show when Ryan hangs up his boots.
However, Miriam told Goss.ie she doesn’t want to become the series’ first female host.

“Definitely not. That’s like, been there done that.,” she said.
“Ryan is doing a brilliant job on The Late Late Show and I hope he stays there for the next 150 years because he’s really good at it and it’s working.”
“I always said I would never leave Prime Time and that’s the truth. I’ve stuck to my guns on that,” she told Goss.ie.
“Occasionally they’ve tried to prize me out of it to do other things and I go, ‘no!'”

“It gives you your own credibility, sometimes you bore the nation to tears but then you do good stuff as well that matters. I like to do journalism that matters.”
Speaking at the official launch of Dundrum Town Centre’s Shop For Good initiative, the RTE star was joined by Nadia Forde, Fair City’s George McMahon and Hometown.
Miriam recently set social media abuzz with her fashion choices – viewers were surprised to see the prime time host wearing a choker on RTE1.
However, the mum of eight insisted the comments didn’t bother her and she thinks fashion is just a bit of fun.
“No it doesn’t bother me. I kind of like it, it’s a bit of fun,” she told Goss.ie.
“Life is way too short to worry about stuff like that. I just couldn’t believe the choker thing, I thought it was so funny.”
