“Saoirse is fantastic. I remember the first day I met her thinking that she would go on to do great things,” he said.

“I hope she gets nominated for an Oscar. I haven’t seen the movie yet but I look forward to seeing it.”

Meanwhile, the actor revealed that he’s been loving every minute of his time in Ireland and can’t wait to return.

“I’ve only been here twice now and I haven’t got to see as much as I would like but I love it, I’m hoping to come back again.”

“I’ve had quite a few pints since I got here, but none today,” he told Goss.ie.

Mark co-starred with Will Farrell who was also in Dublin for the big event and the actor gushed about his time working with the A-list comedian.

“He’s hilarious and sweet, kind and thoughtful,” he said.

“The only thing that’s frustrating is that he purposefully tries to make you laugh during a take but he’s a sweetheart.”

“We have the same approach to comedy in that we try to play everything really straight and real.”
