“If I Google Rose of Tralee Maria Walsh you’re going to find a hell of a lot more under that search term than TV3 Toy Show about both positive and negative and that comes in every shape and form.

“I was definitely keeping an eye on it, it’s a hot topic with The Late Late Toy Show on Friday night.

“I’m decent friends with Ryan (Tubridy) because we’re part of the same agency and I was on the show three times last year, we have a great relationship but we’re not dumb,” she explained.

“I was eager to ask young people what they felt about it because that was who our market was,” she said.

“A lot of the young kids I would of met in the last few days are like ‘I loved so and so, they were a great toy tester or this performance was great.’

“On Twitter there was a lot of mixed [reactions], our ratings were pretty decent and they [TV3] were happy,” she added.

“You do have it but you do filter [it out] what was actual and what was someone just having a rant.”
