RTE star Louise McSharry has revealed she’s starting a new chapter – admitting she is writing her debut book.
The radio presenter, who journalled her cancer battle in RTE2 documentary F**K Cancer, confirmed her literary offering will be a memoir.
“I guess it’s a memoir technically so it definitely has stuff about my life and I have some difficult early years, there’s bit of the cancer in there,” she told Goss.ie.

“But it’s also about breaking up with your boyfriend, hating your body and trying to change that, trying to make yourself feel better in a world that sends you messages that you’re not good enough all the time.
“I suppose it’s just about my experience which is just one experience and I just really hope that,” she revealed.
“I talk about my first relationships with guys and my really messed up values and the way I saw myself in the context of them so I hope that gets to young women and that they find it useful.”
Speaking to Goss.ie at the Alex and Ani Talk Series in Dublin, the newly married broadcaster admitted she hopes opening up about her experiences will help young women.

“I would love to more stuff with young women because I had a really hard time growing up,” she explained.
“I was so insecure and I didn’t value myself in the right way and I’d love to have an impact on women to try help them not make the same mistakes I did basically.”
However fans of the DJ will have to wait a little longer for her non-fiction.
“I don’t know the official date but it should be the first have of the year,” she said.
