Allen Leech is just as annoyed as thousands of Irish Downton Abbey fans tonight.
The final series started tonight on UTV, however Irish viewers have to wait until Wednesday to see the first episode on TV3.
Despite UTV Northern Ireland airing the episode UTV Ireland don’t have the rights to the show.
Taking to Twitter Allen said his mum wasn’t too happy that she couldn’t watch the award-winning series.
Im visiting Ireland and my mum can’t watch the new series. She is not happy! @UTVIreland not showing it like the last 5 years! Weird!

But UTV Ireland responded almost immediately to the Dublin actor, explaining that TV3 have the rights to the series:
Thank you @UTVIreland I’ve explained it to her now so she’s no longer looking for your address to call round, raging! https://t.co/RulmSr4GQE

While Allen’s character Branson left the show last series, he still seems keen to watch the new season.
The actor isn’t the only one giving out about the wait until Wednesday.
All day fans have been ranting on Twitter about the wait, asking UTV Ireland and TV3 why they couldn’t air the first episode tonight.
So my wife joins the ranks of people fecked off with @utvireland .. Going well lads

My mam found out UTV Ireland aren’t showing Downton about half an hour ago and hasn’t shut up about it since
