Merlin actor Eoin Macken has joined the cast of the final Resident Evil film.
The much-loved film franchise will pick up where 2012’s Resident Evil: Retribution left off as Project Alice races against time to stop the villainous Red Queen from destroying the final remnants of humanity.
Shooting starts this month in South Africa, however it’s not clear what role the NBC star will play in the movie.

According to Deadline.com, the Dubliner will star in the action film alongside Milla Jovoich, Ali Larter and Orange is the New Black star Ruby Rose.
Things are going from strength to strength for the handsome actor who’s show The Night Shift has been renewed for a third season.
“Shout out to our wicked crew in New Mexico, we just got a third season,” he previously said.
