Dublin cafés are letting customers Pay With A Poem today

A number of cafés across the Dublin are allowing customers to Pay With A Poem to mark World Poetry Day today.

Yes, you read that correctly, customers can for one day only write or say a poem in exchange for their daily caffeine hit.

Happening across Europe, website Lovin Dublin with the help of local poet Kerrie O’Brien have brought the initiative to Dublin for the day.

For the coffee lovers out there, here’s the full list of cafés taking part:

Viva, Portobello
BB’s Coffee and Co, Hanover Quay
Clement and Pekoe, South William Street
Il Posto, St Stephen’s Green
Two Pups Coffee, Francis Street
Nick’s Coffee Co, Ranelagh (10am-close)
Books Upstairs, D’Olier Street (5-7pm)
Sasha House Petite, Drury Street (2pm-7pm)
Kaph, Drury Street (12-1pm – also, read your poem aloud for the chance to win a bag of coffee to take home).
