Domhnall Gleeson takes father Brendan and Laurence Kinlan to Star Wars World premiere

Domhnall Gleeson brought his father actor Brendan Gleeson, along to the world premiere of his latest film Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The Dublin natives shared some family love as they were snapped on the red carpet together at the film’s premiere that took place in Hollywood last night.

Domhnall took the time to sign Star Wars merchandise for fans as he plays villain General Hux in the much anticipated latest installment of the iconic sci-fi series.

Domhnall has had a fantastic year career wise, with his roles in critically acclaimed films The Revenant, Ex-Machina and Brooklyn, which he starred in alongside Saoirse Ronan.

The Malahide native’s proud father Brendan was by his side last night, showing support for his son on a star-studded red carpet full of Hollywood A-listers.

Among the stars at the premiere was Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker in the popular series.

Among the Hollywood stars was Love/Hate’s Laurence Kinlan, who partied in Vegas over the weekend with his pal Domhnall and Conor McGregor.

The Irish actor recently told Goss.ie that he would be attending Domhnall’s premiere following their Vegas festivities for Conor’s much anticipated fight with José Aldo.

The RTÉ star took to Twitter to share a snap of himself, Domhnall and Brendan at the premiere saying how “proud” he was of Domhnall and that the film was “amazing”.

“Wow! Witnessing first hand cinematic history. So proud seeing Domhnall do his thing. Star Wars was amazing!!”, he wrote.

However, Brendan and Laurence will both have to remain tight-lipped about the movie as guests that attended the premiere are reportedly banned from mentioning details about the film on social media until its release.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens on December 17 in Ireland and the UK.

In honor of the film’s release, Dublin’s Spire on O’Connell Street has been transformed into a lightsaber to increase the Star Wars hype.
