His star is firmly rising in Hollywood but Domhnall Gleeson has admitted he was nervous meeting Harrison Ford during his Star Wars: The Force Awakens table read.

“So yes, meeting Harrison Ford was… everyone was just really nice, but that was one of those things where you make sure your voice doesn’t go high when you say ‘hello’,” he laughed.

Speaking to MTV News, the Malahide native admitted that though he landed a coveted role in J.J. Abram’s highly-anticipated Star Wars, he wasn’t aware about the annual Star Wars Day celebration known as ‘May The Fourth Be With You’.

It wasn’t until he received an early Monday text message with the pun that comes from the movie’s iconic catchphrase ‘May the Force be with you’.

Admitting to his Ex Machina co-star Alicia Vikander, he said: “I didn’t know that was a thing”.

“Did you know that? It’s the fourth of May, so they say ‘May The Fourth Be With You.’ Very clever,” he added.
