If lipstick sales were a predictor of Academy Award winners then Michael Fassbender is a sure bet for this year’s coveted statue.
Fashion guru Tom Ford’s beauty collection Lips & Boys included some hues named after this year’s Best Actor Oscar nominees.
According to US Weekly, the bright pink “Michael” lipstick has outsold any other nominee’s colours – beating off stiff competition from this year’s Academy Award favourite Leonardo DiCaprio and The Danish Girl’s Eddie Redmayne.

The Revenant star’s vampy wine-red “Leonardo” lipstick took second place while “Eddie”, a neutral metallic, took third.
Although Tom has yet to release lipsticks for fellow nominees, Trumbo’s Bryan Cranston and The Martian’s Matt Damon, the Kerry man’s is the bestselling one of the bunch.
First debuting in November 2014, the 50-piece collection sees Tom naming each colour after men he admires or who inspires him – other colours include Drake, Jude and Malik.
