David Bowie was a massive Peaky Blinders fan, and even sent Irish star Cillian Murphy photos of him in costume.
The show’s creator Steven Knight told Radio Times  that Peaky Blinders has a number of famous fans including Steven Spielberg, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Snoop Dogg and Ed Sheeran – but David Bowie was one of the biggest supporters.
The late, great musician was such a huge fan that he sent pictures of himself dressed as Shelby with razor blades in his cap to Cillian Murphy.

“I got in touch with his people who came back straight away and said he was a big, big fan,” Steven explained.
David was reportedly interested in having his music feature in the third season of the show, which is set to premiere on May 5 on BBC Two.
Steven Knight revealed that a Sony rep came to his house to discuss it just a week before David’s final album, Blackstar, was released.
“It seems that his people were keen to establish that we could use it before he died,” he added.
