Cillian Murphy has admitted he’s “absolutely” in his gangster series Peaky Blinder for the long haul – as long as the writing is good.
The acclaimed actor plays Thomas Shelby in the hit BBC show and revealed the writing is the best yet for the upcoming third series.
“With television, it’s a sign of a good show when by the second or third or fourth series it’s still improving and still getting better,” he said.

“And the writing on season three is the strongest it’s ever been. It’s off the charts.
“So as long as it’s that brilliant, of course,” he told the Radio Times.
Speaking about the upcoming series, show creator Steven Knight admitted “it’s going to be the best yet by a long way”.
“We’ve got some great people. We’ve got a lot of love out there, from the US and here. Great people who want to be part of it. In every way we’re stepping up to a new level,” Steven said.
