Charlie Murphy set to star in Jackie Chan flick

Charlie Murphy has revealed she will appear in a Hollywood action film alongside Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan.

Swapping 1916 for kung fu, the Love/Hate star will star in The Foreigner which is due for release next year – revealing she’s currently filming the flick.

“I love being an actor because you film something like Rebellion and then you’re shooting a fight scene with Jackie Chan,” she said.

“We’re filming at the moment and we just have a Christmas break now.”

Speaking to The Sun, the RTE star admitted she is currently shooting the movie in London and Belfast.

Meanwhile, audiences will next see the Wexford native play Elizabeth Butler, a privileged middle class woman who is studying medicine in the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, in new drama Rebellion.

The 27-year-old previously opened up on her new role – admitting she’s glad the series centres on the stories of four lead female characters.
