Actress Charlene McKenna has admitted she would of loved to have starred in RTE’s Rebellion.
Having cut her teeth on the station’s drama Raw, the TV star told Goss.ie she was filming her pilot for Ron Howard’s Clan of the Cave Bear at the time the historical show was shooting.
“[I would have] loved to be apart of it, that’s when I was doing Cave bears [pilot], they shot that when I was [in South Africa] so I wasn’t around at all,” she said.

“Not saying I would have been in it as in I would have liked to have been in it. It would have been so much fun to be home and playing with all your home players, that would of been a laugh.
“[However] I was busy running around Cape Town being a neanderthal. I was focusing on the fact they need to keep making drama.”
Although admitting she would of loved to have starred in the historical epic, the Monaghan native admitted she doesn’t know if she was approached for a coveted role.
“I’ve no idea if they did, I never heard,” she smiled.
