Cate Blanchett has revealed that she’s eager to return to Ireland to film a movie or take to the stage, after filming Veronica Guerin here “all those years ago.”
The Australian actress admits that she would love to return to our Emerald Isle, and hopefully for work purposes as she’s keen to hit the stage.
“I would love to come back to Ireland, would love to be on stage in Ireland,” she said.

On the topic of Ireland, Cate took the time to compliment our very own Saoirse Ronan for her role in her latest film Brooklyn.
“I’ve just seen Brooklyn, John Crowley has made the most extraordinary film and Saoirse [Ronan] is such an extraordinary actress,” she told RTÉ TEN.
Brooklyn has proved a big hit with not only Cate, but numerous awarding bodies as it has won and been nominated in several categories in the past few months, and broke Irish box office records.
