Caitriona Balfe has revealed that she laughed “out of terror” when she was involved in a scary incident on set of Outlander.
The Monaghan native, who stars as World War II nurse Claire Randall in the drama, described how some things can go wrong on set.
“I think when I laughed the hardest was probably out of fear when the carriage I was in nearly sort of did a one-wheeled swerve around a corner,” she explained.

“It just sort of slides over, goes up on one wheel and pops the kerb.
“All I could do was sit in the back and laugh, but it was kind of out of terror,” she told the Herald.
The brunette beauty, who was recently nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Actress in a Drama category, admitted she just about picked her “jaw off the floor” when she heard of the honour.
