TV adventurer Bear Grylls has admitted he didn’t believe Vogue Williams would have won his survival show Mission Survive when she first appeared.
Throughout the 12-day survival mission in Costa Rica, Vogue faced any challenge Bear threw head on and famously drank her own urine during the show.
Pleasantly surprised, the British star referred to the Dubliner as an ‘unlikely hero’ when he discussed what this season’s contestants can expect in South Africa.

“This series ramps up considerably in terms of the terrain, the length of the journey, the pressures they’re under, the limited amount of gear and food they’ve got,” he said.
“The psychological edge that runs through every single episode.
“It’s not about how fit or strong you are – look at last year: Vogue Williams won and you never would have called that on day one. Unlikely heroes emerge,” he told the Herald.
