Baz Ashmawy opens up on final series of 50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy

Baz Asmawy has opened up on the final series of 50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy.

The Emmy-award winner revealed that he would be filming a third season of the hit TV show with his 74-year-old mother, but admitted that it will be the last as he doesn’t want to “hammer it to death”.

“I was very apprehensive and I was nearly done with two,” he said.

“I am very fond of the series, so I never want to hammer it to death. I wasn’t sure there was a third series in it, but then I spent a couple of months on it and there is a great series in it.”

The 40-year-old revealed that he has changed up the show to make it more exciting for the final series – but mammy Nancy still has no idea what she’s in for.

“I don’t know anything that is going on, but I probably don’t want to know until I arrive,” Nancy told the Herald.

Success: Baz doesn’t take his success for granted after winning an Emmy | BRIAN MCEVOY

After winning an Emmy for the show alongside his mother last year, Baz admitted that he never takes his success for granted, because he knows how easily it can disappear.

“It’s different for me because I have had it and lost it before, so once you have been there it’s great that it’s doing well, but then it will end,” he explained.

“The Emmy is great, but then it sits on the mantelpiece and you move on to what’s next.

“It does (open doors) and all of a sudden you have a sit-down meeting with all these people that you never thought you would sit down with,” he added.
