Jonathan Rhys Meyers has begun shooting his new movie London Town.
The Irish actor stars as Joe Strummer, the frontman for influentail rock band The Clash.
The flick is set in 1978 and follows a teenager who travels into central London to find his estranged mother who sent him a cassette tape of The Clash’s White Riot.

The Tudors star has been attached to the movie for some time with filming beginning on June 28 with a wrap expected for late July.
Jonathan has been busy lately and recently wrapped on Roland Emmerich’s Stonewall.
It comes after the Dublin native went through a rough patch recently after images emerged of him looking disorientated and drinking in the streets of London.
The 37-year-old has since issued an apology to fans who were upset by the pics.
