Aoibhinn McGinnity played the perfect ganster’s wife in Love/Hate but it seems looking glam isn’t easy.
The Monaghan actress played Nidge’s wife Trish and wore tight jeans, heels and short dresses throughout the entire series.
Speaking about the wardrobe now, Aoibhinn said she found the clothes uncomfortable.
“The wardrobe for Trish was, shall we say, far-fetched. I had lots of fun with it,” she told the Irish Mirror.

“It felt right, too, because the clothes were hardened like she was. You know those really uncomfortable jeans and heels that were like weapons and studded handbags, it was perfect for the character,” she explained.
Considering Aoibhinn looks completely different to her on-screen character, the actress admitted people don’t always spot her on the street.
“People don’t always instantly recognise me, but that’s OK,” she admitted.
