Love/Hate star Barry Keoghan: 'I'll never get away from that cat scene – I got recognised in the US for it'

Love/Hate star Barry Keoghan has revealed he was recognised for his role as the infamous cat killer in New Jersey.

The 23-year-old, who cut his acting teeth got on the fourth season of the crime drama, came to notoriety when his character Wayne shot a cat.

Opening up about the scene, the Dubliner admitted he’ll “never get away” for the controversial scene.

“I’ll never get away from that cat,” he told the Ray D’Arcy Show on RTE Radio One.

“I was in the MetLife stadium in New Jersey. There was about 90,000 people there and someone pulled me over and said, ‘You’re the guy that shot the cat’.

“I just thought, ‘Ah here, I’m halfway across the world and someone said it’.”
