Pop singer Grimes electrocuted on stage at Dublin gig

Pop star Grimes got more than she bargained for during a gig in Dublin on Tuesday night when she was electrocuted.

The Canadian singer experienced some technical difficulties during her sold out show in the Olympia Theatre which caused sound problems.

A fan at the gig uploaded a video to Instagram of the 27-year-old performing where she can be seen wincing in pain after being given a shock by her earphones.

Grimes, real name Claire Boucher, took to social media to apologize to fans and explained she was electrocuted by a faulty effects pedal on stage.

However, she took to Instagram to reassure her fans she wasn’t harmed.

“Thank u Dublin for being sweet and kind,” she wrote.
