Una Foden has opened up on her upcoming solo album and admitted she’s nervous for fans to hear it.
The Tipperary native is best known for churning out pop hits with The Saturdays but now she’s ready to go it alone.
“Of course [going solo is nerve-wracking], it’s such a tough industry for everyone,” she said.

“Before I was ever in the band, I was that struggling singer songwriter playing everywhere so in a way it was nerve-wracking for me to go into a band.”
Speaking on 2fm’s Breakfast Republic, the mum-of-two revealed she’s been working on her debut album for over two years and will finally start the recording process next week.
“I’ve been writing it for quite a while now, I started writing it two years ago and have been quietly working away on it,” she said.

“I’ve compiled an album now that I’m really happy with so I’m going in next week with the band to lay it all down and hopefully have it ready n a couple of months.
“I’m really excited to bring out my first single,” she added.
