It has been announced that Liam Neeson is set to be honoured by the Irish Film & Television Academy for his contribution to cinema.
The Hollywood star will pick up the IFTA for Outstanding Contribution to Cinema at this year’s awards.
The annual IFTA Film & Drama Awards will take place at the Mansion House, Dublin on Saturday April 9.

The President of Ireland, Michael D Higgins will present the Taken star the with the award on behalf of the Academy, the Irish film industry and his peers.
Meanwhile, the actor recently back-peddled after admitting he was dating “an incredibly famous” woman.
Despite rumours he was seeing Susan Sarandon and Kristen Stewart, the film star insisted he was joking.
