Some people may say that making it in showbiz is all about who you know – but that’s certainly not the case on The Voice of Ireland.
Contestant Katelyn Molloy tried out at the blind auditions where it was revealed she’s related to judge Una Foden.
The Galway native tried out with Taylor Swift’s Love Story but failed to make it through to the next round with none of the judges turning for her.
Una, who’s team was filled before her cousin performed, informed the other judges they were related, however it didn’t sway anyone to pick her.
“There were certain parts you fell down. It wasn’t blow away for me,” Bressie said.
“I am gutted for you and Una, great singer, but I was waiting for rthat moment to grab me,” Kian added.
Despite the knock back, Una encouraged Katelyn to continue singing.
