Kian Egan was left in the cold on Sunday night’s episode of The Voice of Ireland after his former team member snubbed him for Rachel Stevens.
Dubliner Laura O’Connor previously made it to the live shows of series 3 where she chose the former Westlife singer as her mentor.
However, during her comeback audition on the new series, the 20-year-old decided to go in a different direction.
Devastated: Laura chose Rachel over Kian
The Finglas native impressed all of the judges who quickly turned around for her during her rendition of Ella Henderson’s Youra.
Laura’s friend Gavin, who had also accompanied her to the 2013 auditions was adamant that she should not choose Kian if other judges turned.
“I was gutted when you went out, everybody was shocked and we have been in touch over the years,” said Kian to his former protege.
“I will be devastated if you don’t pick me.”
Sadly, the pop star was snubbed by Laura who chose S Club’s Rachel Steven’s as her new mentor.
