RTE have spoken out after Dean Strang’s controversial Ray D’Arcy interview.
The defense attorney made an appearance on last week’s episode of  Ray’s chat show and the interview was quickly slated by viewers on social media.
“Obviously it is always a challenge to condense a 10-hour documentary series into a much shorter interview,” they said.
“At all times Ray was cognisant of the need to help Dean explain the case to those viewers who may not have been aware of the story behind Making a Murderer.

Viewers were unhappy with the TV presenter’s “boring” questions and found the conversation very awkward.
According to The Herald, RTE bosses flew over the lawyer especially for the chat show that left many feeling disappointed.
The broadcaster reportedly declined to comment on how much they paid Dean to fly over from his home in Madison, Wisconsin while also saying they “couldn’t comment” on what he earned for his appearance on the chat show.
Dean defended Making A Murderer’s Steve Avery in his 2007 trial with many viewers slamming Ray for asking frivolous questions about the many conspiracy theories surrounding the show.
