Jenny Buckley has revealed that her acting background helps her when it comes to interviewing celebs.
The UTV Ireland presenter was a drama teacher for over ten years before she launched her TV career.
The 36-year-old fronts the channel’s weather coverage and also hosts showbiz and entertainment programme, The Pulse.
“Once an actor, it’s always there. I would have to say that improvisation techniques help improve your interviewing skills,” she said.

“If the questions aren’t going down well, you might have to change tack. That thinking on your feet comes with being an actor.”
Jenny started The Pulse in July and admitted that she expects big things to come from it.
“We started in July and myself and the show’s producer kept saying how great it would be if it was a half hour show, so I’m absolutely delighted that we’re now able to do that.”
“It’s a great time of year for it to be happening with all the awards ceremonies happening,” she told the Irish Sun.

“We’ll have contributors from LA, London and New York and Holly White will host a fashion segment.”
Despite similarities to TV3’s long running series Xpose, Jenny insisted the shows are different.
“We’re both entertainment shows so the comparisons are there. But they’re different slots and we’re not as focused on fashion. We’re more about entertainment and celebrity interviews.”

Jenny revealed that landing her new gig on The Pulse has made the last year the best of her life.
“I started at the station doing weather and I never anticipated that this show could come about so quickly.”
“It has been the best year of my life. I started on weather…I never thought Pulse could come about so quickly.”
