It looks like the hype around RTE’s Rebellion may be waning after the show’s most recent episode experienced a drop in ratings.
The third episode of the period drama drew a very mixed reaction from viewers and featured the death of an 11-year-old boy.
According to the Herald, the episode was watched by 538,900 people, making a loss of 107,900 from last week’s instalment.
Dip: Rebellion has experienced a drop in viewers
A second series of Rebellion is already in development, although insiders have admitted it will only go ahead if the first series remains a ratings success.
It comes after it was revealed that show star Sarah Greene will be honoured at this year’s prestigious Oscar Wilde party in Los Angeles on February 25.
