Bad news for Poldark fans as new series is pushed back to autumn

Bad news for Poldark fans as the new series of the BBC show has been pushed back to autumn.

The second series of the hit period drama was originally scheduled to air in the summer but TV bosses have decided to make it part of the autumn schedule.

However, fans can look forward to a longer series this time around as the run has been extended to 10 episodes.

Wait: Series 2 of Poldark has been pushed back to autumn

“Autumn is the season for the strongest drama and more time was needed to complete the extended run,” a source told the Mirror.

“If viewers are missing the stunning Cornish landscape they could always watch the box set in March.”

While fans may have to wait a while for the new episodes, a screen shot of Aidan for series 2 was recently released on the show’s Twitter account.

It comes after fans voted Aidan’s shirtless scenes on the show as their favourite TV moment of 2015.
