The Top 5 Shows To Binge Watch On Netflix

There are few things better in life than curling up with a tub of Ben and Jerry’s in your onesie and turning on your favourite show.

With so many great shows out there at the moment, it’s hard to know where to start.

Don’t you worry, though, as Goss.ie have listed the top 5 shows to binge watch on Netflix.

1. Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl is one of the best shows in general to binge on, so a no brainer that we had to include the CW show in this list.

The show started in 2007, back when flip phones were more sought after than the latest iPhone and all Chuck Bass need to say to make us swoon was “I’m Chuck Bass.”

The show follows ultimate frenemies Blair and Serena as they and their friends survive on New York’s Upper Eastside being taunted by a mysterious Gossip Girl.

Netflix has every season, from one to six, so you can indulge all the way through to finding out who is Gossip Girl.

2. Pretty Little Liars

If you’re a fan of Gossip Girl, are you are going to love Pretty Little Liars.

Goss HQ are OBSESSED with this show, and for good reasons.

The show keeps you guessing throughout every season, and we’re pretty sure they’ve changed who A really is at least once or twice.

Nonetheless, the show is more addictive than sugar and we’re hooked.

Netflix has every season of the show, including all the new episodes from the final season being released every Wednesday.

3. Arrested Development

ArrestedDevelopment

For something with a bit of humour, Arrested Development is one of the most hilarious shows on Netflix.

Originally owned by FOX, Netflix took over ownership and released the long-awaited (a good solid decade wait) season four.

The show follows the Bluth family as they go through the mania that is their lives, including living in a crumpling house, bankruptcy and dying themselves blue, every episode is pretty side splitting.

Snuggle up on the couch and watch all four seasons on Netflix, just remember, there’s always money in the banana stand.

4. Friday Night Lights

Is there anything better than seeing a bunch of American football players run around a field and tackle each other?

Not only are there some hunks in this show, but the overall show has definitely one of the more positive themes in all of Netflix’s shows.

The show follows the lives of a high school football team in the fictional town town of Dillon, Texas.

By using the small town of Dillon, the show faces the many issues of contemporary American culture, including family values, religion, racism, drugs, and abortion.

Trust me when I say you will be glued to your screens watching this show, you will genuinely start to care for these character and how they handle their sticky situations.

Netflix has all five seasons for you ready and waiting to be binge watched.

5. Orange is the New Black

Orange-is-the-New-Black

A Netflix original, this show was made by the steaming site after the success of Arrested Development’s seasons four.

If you haven’t started watching it, you need to start watching it.

The show originally starts off following the life of Piper Chapman, a privileged white woman arrested and sent to Litchfield Prison for drug smuggling, but as the series go on, you learn about every single inmate in the prison.

Orange is the New Black tackles every political issue you can think of, mostly race and LGBT, but also has a lighter side that shows off a lot of humour.

The best thing about OITNB is that every season’s episodes are released all at once, so be sure to free up at least three days to blitz through every new season.
