The first ‘Art Diner’ of its kind has just opened in Dublin

The first ‘Art Diner’ of its kind has just opened in Dublin City Centre.

DIG IN, which was created by co-owners Steve Murray and Colin Dicksonis, is a unique art, dining and cocktail experience, which is in collaboration with Irish contemporary visual artist Maser.

The restaurant aims to promote one of the country’s most impressive art collections by showcasing rare works from a number of world-famous post-graffiti artists.

Steve described the original concept behind the inventive dining experience.

DIG IN

“This is the intersection of the most pioneering art out there right now served with great food and drink inspired by the art on the walls. DIG IN is the experience when all of those things come together,” he explained.

“The concept grew during lockdown while researching the future of events and the social experience. During an online conference, a quote jumped out – “Art Always Wins.” ”

“That was the spark that motivated us that we were on the right path. I called Colin and we started to look at how we could bring our interests and skills together to create something new, something that revolved around an art gallery experience.”

Maser also spoke about his involvement in bringing this new art experience to Ireland.

“For me, DIG IN is another space to showcase the rich art that is being created right now. By showcasing the work in a social setting, it creates a new art experience for visitors to enjoy,” he stated.

“Over time we hope to develop the events programme to include other activities such as immersive art dinners and more – this is only the beginning!” he added.
