We love putting the spotlight on ambitious women here at Goss HQ, and this week we sat down to meet the woman set to bring some serious glitz and glam to Dublin.
Stephanie Ledigo, is one of the UK’s top PRs and party planners – and owns Go PR and Go Events.
She has worked with some of the biggest celebrities in the world; including Scott Disick, Love Island’s Dani Dyer, TOWIE’s James Argent and
Gemma Collins and so much more.
The top entrepreneur is now bringing her lavish parties to Dublin, launching Go PR in Ireland this September.
So we got to know the new it girl on the block:
Q. What inspired you to start your business?
I worked in PR before I really knew it, I had always wanted to be a journalist and through that worked in magazines and radio. Whilst in radio companies would ask for help promoting to get on the radio so I saw a gap for small businesses to be noticed through PR. My dad has businesses so I always knew I would have one.
Q. Tell us about your life as an entrepreneur?
My life as a business woman is nothing like I thought it would be, it’s something new every day, it’s challenging and tiring but the best thing I’ve ever done and I just want to get better and better each day.
Q: Do you think it’s harder to be a woman in business?
Women are incredibly strong and passionate, I do think in certain industries it’s much harder to be a woman. PR is a female lead industry I believe but there’s challenges in other sectors. I believe women rule the world!
Q. What’s a typical day in your life like?
I get up at 6am and do yoga, go for coffee with my mum before the madness begins and then I work until I fall asleep. Each day I do meetings, calls and emails whilst keeping on top of the latest opportunities for clients and arranging events. No two days are the same except I need coffee every morning!
Q: Tell us about some of the biggest parties you’ve thrown.
We’ve done huge celebrity events, it’s always amazing to do a celeb launch or party and we’ve done some incredible weddings. Each year we do the Twinkle Ball for Paddy McGuiness and that’s always an amazing event with lots of huge names. We always say we cannot do a bad event and I am crazy about them being perfect. We work for the Housewives of Cheshire and each season we make the events as extravagant as possible.
Q: You have some amazing A-list clients, who are some of the biggest names you work with!
We’ve been so lucky to do events for Pia Mia, Dani Dyer, ITV, Paddy McGuiness, Jason Manford the list is endless. We want to keep getting the biggest names and blowing them away.
Q. What’s your favourite thing about your job?
The people are the best, making people happy or getting their business known is just incredibly satisfying. I have the best team and I love every day.
Q: What was your dream job growing up?
I wanted to work for Heat magazine my whole life, I interned there and I loved it. Either that or I would love to work touring with a music act.
Q: Who inspires you?
Anyone who has overcome anything to run a business. I’m surrounded by hugely successful people who have their lives so together it’s incredible. Also anyone with kids! They are wonder women in my eyes!
Q. What is your ultimate goal for your business?
I want to have an office in LA and live hopefully in Ireland. I want to be known for making a difference.
Q: What makes you stand out from your competitors?
We care so much about everything we do, we want each event or launch or press release to be the best and I think no one else does what we do with the amount of brands and names we work with. Plus, I’m available 20 hours a day to my clients. Nothing is a no!
Q: What business women do you look up to?
I love loads of Irish women! Haha. I think Ceira Lambert is amazing and Mrs Makeup along with my friend Sarah who’s tour manager for Picture This, I love Pippa O’Connor. In the UK my friend Fran Millar is CEO of a huge business and one of my biggest inspirations.
Q. What has been the high point and low point of your career so far?
High point, there’s been so many. We’ve won four awards which I love, we’ve had people who’s lives we’ve changed through PR and so that makes everything just so worth while.
Low point, I’ve definitely taken on too much in the past and it’s damaged my mental health a little so that would be the lowest point but that was a while ago now.
Q: What would you like to accomplish in the next 5 years?
I want to have a huge team of staff all happy and healthy, I would like three offices in three locations and I want people to know GO PR and GO EVENTS worldwide.
