Irish Couples Are Guilty Of ‘TV Cheating’

We’re all guilty of binge-watching shows on a weekly basis but the latest stats show how bad some couples are at ‘TV cheating.’

Vodafone Ireland asked people in a TV survey what their binge-watching habits were like.

They also asked if couples ever skipped ahead an episode or two ahead of their partner.

A huge 69% confessed to binge-watching their favourite shows and almost half (48%) admitted to ‘TV cheating’ on their friend or partner.

A small 20% said that skipping ahead on TV shows is never acceptable while 48% of those surveyed revealed that they have skipped an episode or so ahead of their partner.

1 in 10 people in the survey said that they’ve had arguments about ‘TV cheating’ with their partners.

Another big 69% of people admitted to watching multiple episodes of their favourite show back-to-back and 50% of everyone surveyed admitted they could lose track of time watching their favourite show – staying up well past their bedtime.

The most interesting statistic to come out of the survey despite the arguments and disagreements is that most people didn’t feel guilty about binging on shows, saying it’s a great way to relax.
