Irish cafe Bang Bang are offering the best deal for people who hate Black Friday.
Thousands of shops around Ireland, let alone the world, are offering massive discounts for the manic sale weekend – and some are even giving back to charity.
But for the Phibsborough cafe, they are giving back to those who are fed up of hearing the words “black” and “Friday.”
“Hearing and reading non stop adverts for the Black Friday in Ireland, whilst unsurprising, is pretty sad,” they wrote on their Facebook page.
“It represents all the negatives of a consumerist modern, has nothing to do with Ireland (or even Europe) in any way. The media lap it up here and no doubt a lot of society will too,” they continued.
“Today on this lovely cold crisp Friday morning we’ve a different message. If you want to escape the constant selling directed at you come in to us and mention you aren’ into all this Black Friday business, we’ll shake your hand and give you a free tea/coffee.”
So if you fancy warming yourself up this morning and avoiding the shops, pop into Bang Bang on Leinster Street North in Dublin 7.
