Inside the return of Krystle night club: The boom is BACK

If you want solid proof that the boom is back – just pop into Dublin hot spot Krystle.

Always dubbed as one of Ireland’s leading celebrity clubs: it’s the same venue Pippa O’Connor and Brian Ormond fell in love, the Ireland football and rugby teams celebrate their wins, One Direction have partied until the early hours…and much more juicier things that I could never write on here.

Many believed the glory days of the celebrity lifestyle in Dublin was done and dusted, but sitting in the new refurbished Penthouse Suite in Krystle on Friday night – I can tell you the boom is truly back.

It felt like Dublin in the eary days when the celebrity bubble was growing and growing – and in a new era of influencers and models that bubble is truly growing once again.

With recent new clubs like Xico and 37 Dawson Street taking over as the new ‘IT’ place, Krystle could have struggled with a big return – but they’ve proved their place as a top VIP venue.

The entire venue has seen €1 million put into a serious refurbishment, and it’s paid off.

There wasn’t an empty glass in their VIP suite, were the most famous names not only in Ireland but in the world have had some wild nights.

Anyone who has let loose in the suite will remember the huge circle bed at the back of the room – and don’t worry the bed is still there, it’s just new and now in the middle of the room.

And just in case you weren’t sure what the bed was there for, it now says ‘Playtime’ in neon lights right over it…so you can use your imagination.

The PR relaunch was headed up by Wayne Lawlor, who had his always supportive PR guru pal Ciamh McCrory by his side – and they pulled off a serious night.

Cameras were flashing, socialites were snapchatting, drink was pouring and the atmosphere was electric.

And let’s just be clear, every single drink was on the house – but that doesn’t mean the suite won’t be jammed again next weekend, and wallets will be emptying.

Marble tables now fill out the swanky new suite, with bursts of colour on the walls, and more space inside the Penthouse.

2FM’s Eoghan McDermott was spotted enjoying the night outside on the balcony, with radio presenter and model Daniella Moyles, who was there with her SPIN 103.8 team Cormac Moore and Thomas Crosse.

Rosanna Davison’s other half Wes Quirke was also spotted inside, with Colin Farrell’s brother Eamon attending with his other-half artist Steven Mannion, while Red Rock star Adam Weafer was spotted partying with his cast mates, while RTE’s Stephen Byrne was spotted with pals inside the venue.

Prosecco was flowing all night, and after hours of socialising, snapchatting, Instagramming and dancing, it was suddenly 5am and the party was nowhere near over.

Before we fell deep into the recession I remember never leaving Krystle until the sun came up, and that’s what happened on Friday night.

Looking around the suite it embodied all things luxurious, and as much as people love to complain that VIP nightclubs are pretentious – none of us wanted to leave, because the buzz was intoxicating.

The celebrity bubble is back, the buzz is back, partying all night is back, endless prosecco is back, the boom is back…and so is Krystle.
