Megan Thee Stallion will host the awards show at the UBS Arena on Long Island, New York.
Taylor Swift leads the nominations with twelve nods – including Artist of the Year.
Taylor Swift took home nine VMAs last year, bringing her total to an impressive 23. That places her just behind Beyoncé, who has 28 (two with Destiny’s Child) and just ahead of Madonna, who has 20 awards, and Lady Gaga, who has 19.
Post Malone follows with eleven, ahead of Eminem with eight.
Ariana Grande, Megan Thee Stallion and Sabrina Carpenter are tied with seven.
SZA has six nominations.
Blackpink’s LISA, Olivia Rodrigo, and Teddy Swims follow with four nominations.
This year marks 29 first-time nominees, which include Morgan Wallen, Sabrina Carpenter and Teddy Swims, as well as Benson Boone and Tyla.
A host of well-known faces will perform at the awards ceremony tonight.
