I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here returns to our screens this month.
The popular show, hosted by Ant & Dec, will return to Gwrych Castle in Wales for the second year in a row due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Ahead of the show’s return, we have rounded up all the celebs who have been linked to this year’s line-up so far. Take a look:
Dame Arlene Phillips
According to The Mirror, former Strictly Come Dancing judge Dame Arlene Phillips has signed up for the series.
The 78-year-old would be the oldest contestant to ever appear on the show, as well as the first contestant to hold the title of Dame.
A source told the publication: “Arlene is strong and tough and her energy is boundless.”
“No doubt she’ll have the group dancing around the campfire in a bid to beat the cold and keep morale high. Should be fun.”
Richard Madeley
Richard Madeley has also reportedly signed up for this year’s I’m A Celeb.
The Good Morning Britain presenter, 65, is said to have agreed a contract worth an estimated £200k to appear on the hit ITV series.
A source told The Sun: “Richard’s been asked year after year but the timing has never been right. But now, finally, he’s said ‘Yes’.”
“He’s a favourite with ITV execs. He’s brilliant off and on screen so it seemed as good a time as any to throw caution to the wind and eat animal bits.”
“He’s a fantastic coup and a nailed-on fan favourite. Once you wind him up, off he goes — he will make for castle gold,” the insider added.
Una Healy
The Saturdays star Una Healy has also been linked to the line-up, after her odds of appearing on the show were slashed from 8/1 down to 4/1.
Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “We have had interest in Una Healy appearing on I’m A Celeb today, suggesting someone knows something we don’t. As a result, we’ve had no choice but to slash the odds.”
Adam Woodyatt
EastEnders legend Adam Woodyatt, who plays Ian Beale in the soap, has been linked to this series of I’m A Celeb.
The 53-year-old actor has reportedly signed a huge deal to appear on the show, with The Sun claiming bosses are “very excited” about the decision.
An insider told the publication: “Adam was a big target for the casting team — he is a soap legend and is certain to be a huge hit with fans.”
Jade Thirlwall
Bookies have Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall at 4/1 odds of taking part in I’m A Celeb 2021.
In a recent chat with Heart Radio, the singer admitted she’d love to take part in the ITV show.
She said: “I’ll try anything once me, do you know what I mean? I’ll give it a crack! If something smells bad I won’t put it in my mouth, but I am good at creepy crawlies.”
Maura Higgins
Punters are backing the Longford native Maura Higgins to take part in the upcoming series of I’m a Celeb.
The 30-year-old’s odds were slashed from 7/2 down to 5/2 after her recent split from Giovanni Pernice.
Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports, said: “Punters are continuing to get behind the idea of Irish star Maura Higgins taking part in the next series of I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!”
“Her odds have been trimmed into 5/2 from 7/2, but the support doesn’t end there as she is also 6/4 from 5/1 to take part in the next series of Dancing with the Stars, so fans are clearly expecting a return to reality TV in the near future.”
Frankie Bridge
Frankie Bridge is another Saturdays star linked to this year’s line-up.
According to The Sun, the 32-year-old has been offered a bumper deal to join the show, which her husband Wayne appeared on in 2016.
A source told the publication: “Wayne really enjoyed his time in the Australian jungle, and Frankie is looking forward to giving the show a go too. She is pretty excited.”
Frankie and Wayne are parents to two sons – Parker, eight, and Carter, six.
The insider added: “She is nervous about leaving Wayne and the boys for such a long time, but she is determined to give the challenge her all and really throw herself in.”
Roy Keane
Roy Keane has emerged as a hot favourite to take part in the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.
Paddy Power were forced to slash the price on the Cork native joining the hit reality show over the weekend, after Ian Wright publicly begged ITV bosses to sign him.
The ex-Ireland captain and Manchester United legend now heads the betting at an odds on price of 1/4.
A spokesman for Paddy Power said: “Roy’s scathing analysis of United performances are always trend-worthy.”
“So it’s no surprise that fans and ITV bosses alike might be excited by the prospect of seeing pull a ‘hairdryer’ on some unsuspecting celebs and who wouldn’t relish the thought of him swapping slide tackles for swallowing pig’s tackle!”
The spokesman added: “TV bosses often find that Irish personalities are the secret ingredient on shows like these, but let’s face it, at the end of the day, Roy Keane would be different gravy altogether.”
