Una Healy sparks hope she’ll represent Ireland at the Eurovision next year

Una Healy has sparked hope she’ll represent Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest next year.

The Irish singer launched her solo career after The Saturdays split in 2014, and now it looks like she could be heading to the Eurovision.

Speaking on the Fascinated podcast with Gearoid Farrelly, the Tipperary native said: “I don’t know. Maybe, actually. Yeah, I wouldn’t say never.”

“It would all depend on the song. You would have to get real amazing banger of a song or a huge, amazing ballad.”

“It would have to be unbelievable. I wouldn’t do it unless I had the right song,” she confessed.

“If I write a song that I feel is for the Eurovision then maybe I would do that but my music at the minute I don’t feel is very Eurovision-esque really.”

Lesley Roy is representing Ireland at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, and will perform at the first semi-final on May 18.
