Pete Davidson publicly defends Kanye West after he slammed Ariana Grande on Twitter

This Twitter feud has taken an unexpected turn

Pete Davidson has publicly defended Kanye West, after the rapper slammed his ex Ariana Grande for commenting on his feud with Drake.

Since Thursday night, the rapper has continued to publicly slam Drake on Twitter, after accusing him of threatening his family.

Kanye has been open about how the situation has affected his mental health, and now Pete, who suffers from bipolar, has taken to Instagram to praise him.

He wrote: “Bravo Kanye West for standing up for yourself and speaking out against mental health. I can’t explain to you enough how difficult and scary it is to be honest about stuff like this. We need people like Kanye. No one should ever point fingers at you for your bravery in speaking about mental health. I’m seriously disgusted.”

Pete’s statement is sure to raise eyebrows, as it comes after Kanye slammed Pete’s ex-fiancé Ariana for using him to promote her new song on Twitter.

After Kanye’s tweets went viral and started hitting headlines, pop starlet Ariana tweeted: “guys, i know there are grown men arguing online rn but miley and i dropping our beautiful, new songs tonight so if y’all could please jus behave for just like a few hours so the girls can shine that’d be so sick thank u.” [sic]

However, Kanye didn’t seem to take Ariana’s comments kindly, as he reposted her tweet alongside the caption: “I know Ariana said this to be cool and didn’t mean no harm but I don’t like even slightest level of slight commentary from someone I know loves and respects me.”

In another tweet, Kanye continued, “All of this foolishness weighed on my mental health so @ArianaGrande you know I got love for you but until you’re ready to really make sure everyone’s ok don’t use me or this moment to promote a song.”

In response, Ariana apologised to Kanye, but slammed his claim that she used him to promote her new song, Imagine.

She tweeted, “with all due respect, i don’t need to use anyone to promote anything. period. i was making a comment ab what men were doing at the time vs. women. it was a joke which i understand now was probably insensitive. i apologize if i was in any way triggering and hope u feel well today.” [sic]

When a fan responded to Ariana saying, “girl you better retract that apology rn, you didn’t do anything wrong,” the singer replied, “for potentially triggering him? nah regardless of how i feel about a situation, i can also care about their mental health.”

Ariana and Pete called off their engagement in October, following a whirlwind summer romance.
