Normal People director Lenny Abrahamson has reacted to Daisy Edgar-Jones losing out on an Emmy nomination.
The hit show received four nominations in total, with Paul Mescal getting a nod for Leading Actor, Lenny for Best Director, Sally Rooney for her writing and Louise Kiely for casting the show.
But Daisy, who played Marianne in the series did not get a best actress nomination.
Taking to Twitter, Lenny said Daisy deserved a nomination as much as the others.
“Delighted for @mescal_paul @louisekiely Sally and Alice,” he wrote.

Since the news broke many have taken to social media to share their disappointment at the decision to leave Daisy off the nominations list.
