Maura Higgins hits back at online troll – after they ‘body shamed’ her

The troll told her to "put some weight on"

Maura Higgins has hit back at an online troll, after they ‘body shamed’ her on Instagram.

On Friday, the Love Island star shared some stunning snaps of her posing in a leopard print bikini during a photoshoot.

After the shoot, the 29-year-old shared a screenshot of a nasty message she received in her DMs.

The message said: “Put some weight on. Get some curves. You look like a cardboard front and back with a trout pout.”

Responding to their mean comment, Maura replied: “Here we go. The next video is for you ma darling.”

The reality star then shared a video of herself in another bikini, alongside the hashtag #BeKind.

The news comes after Maura’s pal Molly-Mae Hague recently slammed an online troll for calling her ‘fat, shallow, and useless’.

Last week, the 21-year-old admitted she’s become “desensitised” to the nasty messages she receives online, as she shared a screenshot of the private message on her Instagram Story.

The troll wrote: “Oh poor you, you spoilt brat there are more important problems in this worldocument (sic), people suffering to a much higher degree.”

“You are so SHALLOW, VACUOUS and USELESS to society. Thick materialistic FAT cow.”

Molly captioned the post: “My dms are honestly so wild you know. I genuinely have become so desensitised to reading this kind of stuff.”

In another post, the Love Island star added: “All good over here guys don’t you worry xxx.”
