Iggy Azalea has confirmed her split from rapper Playboi Carti.
The Australian rapper took to her Instagram Stories on Saturday to share a series of cryptic messages before confirming the split.
In one post, the 30-year-old wrote: “You lost a real 1!!!!” adding: “People take loyalty for granted & That’s why I’d rather be alone.”
She then wrote: “What I meant last night was that I’m raising my son alone and I’m not in a relationship.”
Iggy and Playboi Carti (real name Jordan Terrell Carter) began dating in 2018, before welcoming their first child together the following year – a son named Onyx.
Iggy only confirmed the birth of her son in June this year, writing on her Instagram Stories: “I have a son.”
“I kept waiting for the right time to say something, but it feels like the more time passes, the more I realize I’m always going to feel anxious to share news that giant with the world.”
Although Iggy did not say who her son’s father was at the time, DJ Akademiks congratulated the two on the birth of the child.
“Congrats to Iggy Azalea and Playboi Carti on the birth [of] their son this weekend,” he wrote on May 1st.
After announcing her split from Playboi on Saturday, Iggy shared a first look at her son, posing with the one-year-old in a series of snaps on Instagram.
